The Use of Mistakes

                               The Second Grading Period has just ended and another grading period is going to come.  And while it is ending, I've learned a lot from my lessons, experiences and from the people surrounding me.
                              During this grading period, it was challenging since we must pass new projects, outputs and assignments. Also, it was exciting since another set of top ten students in our class is going to be announced and appreciated.  In the middle of this grading period, I had a problem with some of my outputs and assignments that would be passed in our Filipino subject.  Also, I had a problem with my blogs which are considered as our projects in our ICT class.  I didn't completed all the 6 blogs that must be passed.  My last 2 blogs were late when I've passed it.
                             Moving on, I will do my best to attain high grades in the next grading period.  For me, past will be past, I will just focus in the present and do whatever I must do and I will make plans for the future.

Upholding English Proficiency, For Communicative Competence

                               We all know that English language is our universal language.  It is most often used in different countries around the world in different areas like education, commerce, etc.

                               Every year, our school celebrates the English Olympics Month Celebration and hosts different contests.  This year's theme is "Upholding English Proficiency, For Communicative Competence."  The contests that are held during the said celebration are spelling bee, declamation, smart talk and quiz bee.  Also, our school holds some activities for us students to enhance our English Proficiency.  Since English language is our universal language and it is often used, we must learn how to speak English fluently.  So every year, we are celebrating English in order for us to communicate effectively in English.

                               We must learn how to speak the English language because it is for our own good.  We can use it when we are in abroad.  Also, we can use it when we are applying for a job and others.

Answering a Problem but also, Expecting Another New Problem

                     In our daily living, we always need science and there is always science around us. Also, because of science, we are now in an advance technology. We have invented many gadgets, instruments and things that makes our life more comfortable and our work easier and faster. That is because of science. But as we are progressing in the modern technology, we are also suffering from different crisis. As we are advancing in our technology and science, is it possible that  there is a side effect of it?
                    Nowadays, many people are dying due to different diseases, disasters, etc. We are now experiencing different kinds of shortage. Some of our problems have been partially solved or fully solved by science but as we are inventing or experimenting for some solutions to solved a particular problem, there comes another but worse problem. We have already made some vaccines for some diseases but there comes another disease and still more worse than the previous one. Now, we are also suffering from shortage of electricity. Some places don't have electric currents. Also, some people die due to food shortage although we have made some instant foods. It is true that as we are progressing, we will always expect for a new problem. Some people say that the end of life will happen. And, I think, it is because of what we are doing that the end will truly come.
                   For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. The Third Law of Motion states that. For every progress, there comes another one the same but opposite ones.

                  

A Nationwide Hero

                              Teacher?!  Ah!  They are the persons who teaches different subjects in the school.  Some says, "teachers are our second parents."  For you, how do you describe or consider your teacher?
                              Yes, my teachers are my second parents. but not only that, they are my friends and not only an ordinary friend instead, they are my very true friends.  Since, a teacher cares for you and loves you just like your true friend.  Also, a true friend accepts for who you are not for what you have just like also a teacher.  A teacher accepts you even though you are poor or you have mental disorder or some of your attitudes are unfavorable since, none of us was born perfect.  In times of your problems, a teacher gives advises just like your true friend.  A true friend is there for you in the sorrowful times of your life not only in the happiest times of your life just like a teacher.  A teacher is there for you in the sorrowful times of your schooling life to comfort you and to give you advice and also, he/she is there for you in the happiest times of your schooling life to rejoice with you and to celebrate with you.  A teacher is a hero.  Since, a teacher sacrifices all his time, life, efforts, and sweat to feed and share us all the knowledge he/she has just like a hero.  A hero sacrifices all his life, time, efforts and things to save the life of his fellowmen.
                             We salute you our teachers.  You are really a true friend.  You are our parents inside our school.  And most likely, you are the hero of our lives.  If you don't exist or you are not here, there will be no professional men and women.

My Hero of Forever LIfe

                        Hero is somebody who commits an act of remarkable bravery or who has shown an admirable quality such as great courage or strength of character according to the Encarta Dictionaries. Or, somebody who is admired for outstanding qualities or achievements. In Mythology, hero is a man of superhuman powers especially a son of a god and a mortal like Hercules, Perseus or Achilles. And some of us when speaking the word "hero", we usually think of the heroes in the cartoons like Superman, Batman and others.
                       For me, hero is a person who gives care and love to me and thinks of what is right for me and keeps me away from the wrong doings. For me, my heroes are none other than my only parents. Without them, I would not be here also. They are the sponsor of my life and my well-being. I don't have good education without them or I will not live alone without them. They are the ones why I am living and breathing here in earth. Nothing are more valuable than them. If one time they will be to die, when God permits me to swap my life for them, I'd rather do it for the sake of my other siblings. These is how important they are to me. There is no other thing that can value them.

Language: The Tongue of Every Country

                        Language is the human use of spoken or written words as a communication system, or the speech of a country, region or group. If a country is compared to a body of a human, language would be the tongue.
                       Language is very important to us. Without language, we cannot understand and communicate with each other. So, we must put to use our language. Now, some of us are not using our own "Filipino language." Whenever they had gone to other countries, they usually try to speak the language of the country which they came from even though, they are hard up in speaking it.
                      Every year, whenever the month of August is coming, we are also waiting for the coming of the "Buwan ng Wika." This year's theme is "Tatag ng Wikang Filipino, Lakas ng Pagkapilipino." This means that if we use our Filipino language always, we are saying that we are a true Pilipino and we love being a Pilipino. So we must use our language every time and avoid speaking other languages of other countries since Filipino language strengthens us being a Filipino citizen.

The Worst Thing That I've Ever Done

                        "Repentance always comes last."  This line is true and it happened to me that I learned a lot from it.
                        It was on my 3rd year of studying here in Ilocos Sur National High School when I didn't became an honor student.  From my 1st year up to my 2nd year of studying, I got some honors.  But, it is only when I am in 3rd year that I got no honors.  I was ashamed to my past teachers because they have the trust and support on me.  But, I can't blame my fault to others.  I became careless and I gave a little attention to my study.  I became lazy in doing my assignments, projects and outputs and I didn't review my lessons.  I prioritize and gave more time in playing computer games.
                       It had already happened and it was all my fault.  If only I can move the time back, I'd rather move it on that part.  I will correct all the mistakes that I've done.  But, I can't do such thing.  I am not a supernatural being to do such impossible thing.  Yet, I must learn to accept it and I had accepted what I've done.
                      Moving on, I will focus more on my study and I will give most of my time to my study.  I will do all the best that I can in order to prove to myself that my teachers and my friends are correct that I can be an honor student.

My Insights on the 3rd SONA of President Benigno Aquino III

                 State of the Nation Address or SONA is a yearly duty of the presidents which they deliver all their accomplishments.  President Benigno Aquino III delivered his 3rd SONA at a joint session during the opening of the 3rd regular session of the 15th Congress on Monday, July 23, 2012 at Batasan Pambansa Complex, Quezon City.
                 As I read his SONA, I am quite interested, impressed and amazed.  I'm amazed and impressed its not because of its length but because of its content since they are all concerning on the improvement of our beloved country.  And I'm happy of what is happening now.  Most of the content of this year's SONA are all accomplishments of President Aquino's administration not like last year that he just compared his accomplishments on the accomplishments of the past administration.  I congratulate you Mr. President for your successful SONA.  I hope that he will continue serving the Filipino people and he will always keep an eye on the improvement of our country.
                 As what he said on the last part of his SONA, all of the accomplishments on the different areas were made to happen because of our unity and cooperation.

Vegetables: The Giver of Life Power

                         "Health is wealth."  This is what I always hear from other people when it comes to health nutrition.  Yes, it is true because if we are healthy, we are immune to many kinds of diseases.  And if we are immune to many kinds of diseases, we are rarely sick and hospitalized which can lead to money consumption.              
                         During the early times, our forefathers rarely suffer diseases.  Also, they had a longer life span.  They can reach an age of 100 and above.  Their secret is eating nutritious vegetables.  But nowadays, most of us can no longer reach an age of 100.  Some of us die at an early age due to many kinds of diseases like heart disease, high blood, etc.  We are lucky enough if we reach an age of 70.  It's because nowadays, there are many kinds of foods which can stop our hunger but we do not know if it is nutritious.  Another reason is that we had already forgotten the practice of eating green, leafy vegetables.
                         We must not forget eating vegetables.If we eat vegetables, we gain many kinds of nutrients and vitamins that can make our body strong, healthy and active.  That's why our forefathers rarely suffered diseases because their bodies were strong, healthy and active due to vegetables.

My Insights to the New Philippine Republic

Dear Mr. President,

                First of all, I would like to greet you a pleasant morning and good day. Writing a letter to you is a great honor and privilege. Other people cannot express their insights to you but me this is a nice time to express my emotion about the improvement of our country.

                During your SONA (State of the Nation Address), you stated many programs that you will do in your administration. You also said this line, "Kayo ang boss ko, kung walang corrupt, walang mahirap." That time, I believed you and I thought that you will do what you said. But now, most of the news that I hear from you are all about your love life and the things that you owned. The only thing that I heard good about you is the proclaiming of K+12 education program. But for me, that program has a good and bad effect. The good effect is that after they graduate in senior high school, they had already the chance to find a job. The bad effect is that the parents which cannot provide a good education to their children will suffer more in giving education to their children.

                The only thing that I want to say to you is that keep yourself in the improvement of our country not in the improvement of your personal happiness. I'm not saying that you always keep yourself in your duty, you can go along with other people if you want to rest. I'm just saying that finish your duty first before your happiness. Thank you for reading this letter sir.
